Ford Pro is looking for Software Engineers that embrace Agile-extreme Programming principles to deliver innovative software products for Ford of Canada, and our commercial customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada, an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required.)
Experience:
- 2+ years of experience working in front-end development.
- 2+ years of experience with Object-Oriented development languages, such as but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Kotlin, Modern databases (Relational and non-relational). 1+ years of experience developing and deploying to cloud platforms, such as Google Cloud Platform, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience in developing web-based user interfaces using JavaScript, Angular, React.js, and/or TypeScript.
- Excellent ability to debug and resolve issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Terraform).
- Knowledge of and experience with end-to-end testing tools.
- Familiarity with eXtreme Programming (XP) practices, including Pair/Mob Programming and Test-First / Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Proficiency in Spring/Spring Boot and RESTful web services development.
- Experience with machine learning, mathematical modeling, or data analysis would be an asset. Proficient in Agile tools (Jira, backlogs, iterations, user stories, or similar) with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, UI/UX Designers, technical specialists, and business stakeholders.
