Enterprise Data Office - Business Execution Lead (Vice President) - Hybrid

A Chief Operating Office (COO) Data Chief of Staff organization serves as a vital strategic and operational arm within the Chief Operating Officer's domain, uniquely focused on leveraging data for enhanced operational excellence. This entity empowers the COO by translating overarching data strategies into actionable operational initiatives, driving efficiency, and fostering data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Its core responsibilities include providing strategic planning support for data initiatives, overseeing data governance to ensure quality and compliance, identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency through data insights, and coordinating cross-functional data projects. The organization acts as a central hub for communication, reporting, and analysis, ultimately ensuring that data assets are effectively utilized to support the COO's objectives and drive measurable business outcomes.

The Business Execution Lead (Senior Business Associate-C13) is a senior level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Business Execution Lead may coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. May manage ad hoc projects as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as communications lead on strategy development and execution for internal business messaging
  • Understand the complexities of the department P&L; allocable base, appropriate accruals, client allocations, the impact of capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts in order to improve operational efficiency and productivity
  • Manage compliance with relevant policies and procedures including financial forecasting, headcount planning, and centralized policy/reporting
  • Conduct any and all business analysis needed to support the organization (e.g. expense forecast analysis, budget reviews, organizational structure)
  • Develop and maintain control frameworks for the data book of work. This includes publishing guidance for Investment Requests and PTS work effort structures and hierarchy, ensuring Consent Order tagging is applied consistently and accurately and working with stakeholders to prepare reporting at all levels (e.g. regulatory, senior executive, and more detailed book of work reviews)
  • Partner with Finance, Technology, and Transformation Program Data teams to enforce governance policies.
  • Enhance reporting mechanisms to provide transparency and accountability including writing requirements for the automation of reporting
    Advance organization/people strategy goals including communications strategy, talent strategy, and employee engagement initiatives
  • Assist leadership/Chief of Staff in promoting and executing communications program
  • Drive productivity/ cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
  • Participate in People Engagement Working Group and promote Voice of the Employee (VOE) communications
  • Identify and develop business content for deployment, to enhance brand awareness with stakeholders and clients
  • Advise, write and edit on company-wide communications
  • Develop and maintain communication standards and procedures; serve as subject matter expert on communication tools and applications
  • Develop monthly communications metrics to monitor and measure impact of the communication plan
  • Participate in leadership meetings to assess scope of communications needs, educate leadership on strategy, and make recommendations for achieving desired impact
  • Complete financial deliverables including monthly forecasts, the annual investment process, client reporting and ad hoc requests
  • Leverage technology and tools to enable communications and generate excitement and interest in risk communications
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in in global and complex settings working with multiple stakeholders
  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles, including budget management, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Advanced Excel Automation: Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions, macros, and the ability to develop automated solutions for data processing and reporting is preferred.
  • Artificial Intelligence (AI) Literacy: Familiarity with AI concepts and their practical applications in business operations, data analysis, or process optimization is preferred.
  • Executive Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex information clearly, influence, and engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative Partnership: Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and external partners to drive collective success.
  • Knowledge of the financial services industry and technology
  • Proven ability to work in high-pressure environments
  • Communications or marketing experience preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of financial services industry

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
