Recipe for Success Coordinator

Duties and responsibilities:
The Recipe for Success program delivers small-group cooking and nutrition programming for adults experiencing disabilities. The Coordinator supports participant selection, plans and facilitates sessions, manages volunteers, and completes administrative and evaluation tasks.
Duties include:
- Plan and lead small-group cooking sessions
- Create a safe, engaging, and supportive environment
- Support skill development in meal planning, food preparation, and kitchen safety
- Coordinate and support volunteers
- Conduct participant selection (may include home visits with participants and caregivers)
- Plan and distribute program schedules
- Complete grocery shopping and manage budgeting
- Perform administrative tasks (attendance tracking, evaluations, receipt reimbursements)
Qualifications:
Education:
- Disability or Rehabilitation Support Worker Certificate and/or related training and experience
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a working/reliable vehicle
- Valid First Aid/CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain within three months
Experience:
- One year of experience in a related field
Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to be flexible and work independently
- Creative planning skills
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to work effectively with individuals experiencing disability, management, and community partners
Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.

About SaskAbilities
The Saskatchewan Abilities Council is a registered charity and operates under the authority of The Non-Profit Corporations Act, 1995, of Saskatchewan. It is dedicated to providing programs and services to people with disabilities in Saskatchewan.
In 1950, families of children with cerebral palsy believed there could be better education, treatment, and services for their children and others like them; they did something about it and started the Saskatchewan Council for Crippled Children. Within a year, the Council found itself providing services to both children and adults disabled by the effects of polio. To reflect this expansion of services, the name was changed to Saskatchewan Council for Crippled Children and Adults.
In 1984, a desire to emphasize abilities rather than disabilities led to a second name change for the agency. It became the Saskatchewan Abilities Council Inc.
Today, the Saskatchewan Abilities Council is proud to celebrate 60 years of success in delivering recreational, rehabilitation, and vocational programs to more than 35,000 people with disabilities throughout the province.
There are branches located in Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, and Yorkton. There are also five Partners in Employment offices located in Moose Jaw, Regina, Saskatoon, Swift Current, and Yorkton. A Special Needs Equipment depot is located in Prince Albert; Manitou Lake is home to Camp Easter Seal; and Provincial Services resides in Saskatoon.
