ROLE DESCRIPTION
This role is responsible for RFPs, tenders, proposals, and contract strategy across Canada. The position combines expertise in RFP Management, proposal development, contract strategy, contract negotiations, strategic problem solving, as well as post-award integration to drive business growth.
Operating at a senior level, this individual will partner closely with the Executive Leadership Team. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, confidence in decision-making, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to solve complex problems. Key responsibilities include:
-**RFP Strategy & Execution:**Lead the development and execution of strategic RFPs across Canada, ensuring alignment with business priorities and financial targets. -**Executive-Level Proposals & Negotiations:**Own high-value proposal submissions and contract negotiations, working cross-functionally to craft compelling, commercially competitive offers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong business acumen, executive presence, and a deep knowledge of contract & pricing strategy. Fluency in English and French is required. Occasional travel within Canada may be expected.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
RFP Management:

Monitors all potential upcoming RFX opportunities leveraging our CRM system.
-
Initiates the pre-RFX process in preparation for large/complex upcoming RFX opportunities.

Lead end-to-end management of complex, high-impact RFPs across Canada.
-
Establish and scale RFP processes, templates, and submission standards.
-
Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Legal, Marketing, and Finance to align on timelines and strategy.
-
Present RFP updates, risks, and recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team.
-
Liaises with internal Gov’t Affairs team and participates in MedTech committees
Strategic Business Deal Review & Proposal Development:
-
Lead and put together proposals for high-value, strategic opportunities.
-
Shape messaging, value propositions, and present win strategies.
-
Manage timelines, stakeholder contributions, and executive review.
-
Build and maintain a centralized library of proposal content and pricing tools.
Contract Strategy & Negotiation:
-
Support and own the negotiation of awarded commercial proposals.
-
Lead redlining and cross-functional reviews with Commercial Leads, Legal and Finance.
-
Balance value, cost, and risk to support organizational goals.
-
Ensure contracts are structured for performance and accountability.
Implementation & Post-Award Integration:
-
Ensure awarded proposals are implemented effectively across internal functions.
-
Collaborate with Operations to translate proposal commitments into executable plans.
-
Track metrics and report outcomes to leadership.
-
Reviews existing processes, identifies bottlenecks and implements efficiencies.

Process management / review / development / maximize efficiency
Executive Collaboration & Strategic Problem Solving:

Actively manage up with transparency, insight, and initiative.

Present well-researched recommendations and solutions to support decision-making.

EDUCATION

Undergraduate degree required.

Additional certifications in strategic procurement, commercial negotiation, or project management preferred.
EXPERIENCE
-
5-7 years in procurement, proposals, or contract strategy roles.
-
Proven experience managing complex RFPs and negotiating high-value contracts.
-
Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with executive stakeholders.
-
Background in healthcare or medical devices preferred but not mandatory.

- The annualized base salary range for this role is $92,040 to $143,960 and is bonus eligible.
