As the Projects Coordinator, you play a key role in supporting Project Managers across a range of projects—from kickoff to completion—by applying solid engineering and project management practices, strong leadership, and interpersonal skills. This includes sourcing internal and external resources, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of project plans, coordinating with stakeholders, reviewing deliverables, estimating costs, managing budgets, overseeing safety, and scheduling design and construction activities. Projects typically span up to 12 months, and at times, you may independently lead smaller-scale drainage projects or programs.

What you’d be responsible for

Providing input on drainage plans, understanding EUI strategies, and maintaining effective cross-team relationships.

Developing and implementing short-term deliverables aligned with project management plans.

Supporting budget planning for engineering design and construction of drainage projects.

Monitoring and reporting performance
metrics and
assisting with timely adjustments.
-
Preparing project documentation including plans, agendas, minutes, procurement materials, logs, approvals, and close-out reports.
-
Maintaining schedules, cash flow forecasts, and accruals
-
Ensuring compliance with policies, standards, and regulations while mitigating risks
-
Coordinating internal and external teams and stakeholder meetings.
-
Communicating project updates and preparing reports for stakeholders.
-
Assisting with project delivery to meet scope, schedule, and budget targets.
-
Performing procurement tasks including preparing RFPs, tenders, evaluating bids, and recommending awards.
-
Executing project activities, administering contracts, reviewing invoices, coordinating inputs, and tracking deliverables.

Recommending invoices for payment from consultants and contractors within approved and executed contracts, per CESAP
authorities
.

Applying technical knowledge to analyze and propose solutions for project issues and manage risks.

Providing recommendations for acquiring consultants and contractors that meet project needs and deliver maximum value.

Managing change by preparing documentation and supporting control processes.
-
Conducting site visits and safety audits to ensure safety integration; i
mmediately stopping any work deemed unsafe
.

Demonstrating a disciplined, accountable, innovative, and results-driven work ethic.

Managing small or low-complexity projects independently when required.
What’s required to be successful
Qualifications, experience and
behaviours
you possess are:

Completion of a
two-year
Diploma
in
Engineering Technology, Business Administration
(
or a related field
)
from a recognized post-secondary educational institute.
-
Engineering Technology Diploma (Civil Engineering)
is preferred.
-
Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) designation with ASET
is an asset.
-

4+ years of project management experience in design and construction of drainage, municipal or civil infrastructure.
-
Knowledge of project management processes, procedures and permitting requirements
-
Knowledge and experience in project management, negotiation and delivery process at all project phases from initiation to close-out.
-
Technical knowledge of drainage engineering design and construction.
-
Ability to analyze technical information and make timely, well-rationalized decisions.
-
Ability to conduct cost estimating and cost-benefit analysis, lead groups of people (internal and external), and prepare accurate monthly reports showing all aspects of the project.

Ability to learn and use software and technology as required, to effectively deliver projects and complete necessary reporting.

ility
to manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities to deliver excellent value to a number of stakeholders.
