As a Digital Product Designer at Air Canada, you will work closely with digital product managers, product owners, developers, designers, company leaders, and business partners to create industry-leading digital experiences across our Air Canada and Aeroplan digital channels that delight customers and help grow our business.
Responsibilities:
- Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design and deliver exceptional digital experiences across our digital channel products.
- Create user-centered designs by considering user feedback, usage data, user research and technical constraints/opportunities and business value.
- Interpret usability testing, user research, and analytics to uncover insights, identify gaps, and inform product roadmaps.
- Facilitate and/or participate in the discovery and planning of new products and features, driving the design vision across digital channels.
- Communicate complex design solutions by creating process flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the end-to-end iterative product design process (discovery, definition, development and delivery)
- Articulate the “why” behind your designs and rally support for solutions that delight customers and drive business growth.
Qualifications
- Experience designing and launching complex digital experiences (web apps, mobile apps)
- 3+ years’ experience as a digital product designer, ideally with expertise designing operational business apps.
- Bachelor's degree in design or equivalent work experience launching digital products.
- Deep understanding of inclusive design principles and a commitment to creating accessible experiences.
- Expertise in design thinking and human-centered design methodologies
- Familiarity with at least one type of Agile process (SCRUM, SAFe, etc.).
- Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, AdobeXD, Figma, etc.
- Airline, Loyalty or Travel Industry experience a plus, but not required.
- Must be a team player with ability to work closely with diverse groups and working styles.
- Autonomous and self-starter able to effectively self-manage priorities.
- Must embrace an ever-changing environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills able to demonstrate technical and business fluency.
- Demonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
