About the role

As an Oracle Database Functional Analyst in the Business Banking Operations Department, your role is to liaise between business teams and the external provider to ensure the development, maintenance and performance of a large-scale solution. You’ll be responsible for translating business needs into clear and comprehensive functional requirements, enabling the provider to design and implement the solution in accordance with expectations. You’ll ensure that the solution remains functional, secure and aligned with business sector objectives. You’ll actively contribute to the solution’s development by suggesting improvements and validating deliverables. You’ll interact with a large number of internal and external stakeholders and play a key role in coordinating the alignment between the various systems and processes. In addition to your analysis and follow-up responsibilities, you’ll play an important role in operational support in the event of an incident by collaborating with technical teams and the provider to quickly identify the cause, propose solutions and ensure business continuity. As a functional expert, you’ll provide advice and recommendations to optimize standards, policies and programs, and propose tailored implementation plans. Your leadership will be essential to ensure the quality of the deliverables and that business needs are met. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Gather and analyze business needs and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Translate these needs into functional specifications for the external provider.
  • Read and understand the functional files delivered by the provider (in English).
  • Participate in workshops with Oracle to clarify requirements.
  • Validate the solutions delivered and ensure they comply with requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders to resolve issues and propose improvements.
  • Validate the deliverables (configurations, developments, integrations) provided by Oracle.
  • Prepare and execute functional testing and acceptance plans.
  • Coordinate with the provider to resolve anomalies and incidents.
  • Document the flow, business rules and test scenarios.
  • Monitor SLAs and contractual commitments related to Oracle.
  • Ensure the quality, security and performance of the solution over time.
  • Actively participate in operational support in the event of an incident to ensure the solution is stable and available.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least six years of experience as a functional analyst
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • Proficiency in Oracle (SQL for data validation)
  • Proficiency in integration tools (REST/SOAP API, ETL)
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools: Jira, Confluence
  • Proficiency in SQL scripts for validation
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud (OCI) and on-premise environments
  • Knowledge of application architecture and interconnections (API, MQ, file exchange)
  • Knowledge of test environments (dev, certification, prod-support)
