The Vice President, Operations is a Senior Leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of residential property operations. This includes strategic planning, operational efficiency, financial performance, Resident satisfaction, and compliance with regulatory standards. The VP will lead a high performing team to ensure the portfolio operates at peak performance while delivering exceptional living experiences for Residents.
Responsibilities Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute operational strategies aligned with Boardwalk’s goals for growth, revenue and Resident satisfaction.
- Identify market trends and opportunities to optimize occupancy and rental income.
Resident Experience
- Champion initiatives that enhance satisfaction and community engagement.
- Resolve escalated issues promptly and professionally.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee day-to-day operations of residential rental properties, ensuring Boardwalk’s high standards of maintenance, safety, and service
- Implement best practices for leasing, Resident retention, and property management.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for the residential portfolio.
- Drive cost efficiencies while maintaining quality standards.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Compliance, Safety & Risk Management
- Ensure adherence to all legal, regulatory, and health & safety requirements.
- Mitigate operational risks through proactive planning and controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or related field preferred, CPM an asset
- 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in residential property management
- Proven track record of managing large-scale rental portfolios and driving operational excellence.
- Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in property management systems and data analytics tools.
