Could you be the full-time onsite Maintenance Vehicle Planner in Ottawa, ON, CA we’re looking for?

Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your maintenance planning expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates.
You'll ensure the smooth operation and reliability of our Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) fleet by expertly scheduling preventative and corrective maintenance activities. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (engineering, operations, and senior management), compile performance statistics to recommend process improvements, and support frontline supervisors in determining material and labor requirements—and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • "You’ll specifically take care of scheduling all preventative and corrective maintenance activities for the entire fleet, but also coordinate interior and exterior cleaning and servicing schedules.,
  • Considering workforce, material and parts availability, revenue service requirements, safety rules and regulations when planning and scheduling the preventative and corrective maintenance repairs of vehicles. ,
  • Managing resource interdependencies associated with constraints and seeking solutions to potential conflicts. ,
  • Ensuring that resources are available to meet the requirements of the maintenance schedule at all times. ,
  • Working with stakeholders to identify and analyze new maintenance initiatives and assisting frontline supervisors in determining material and labour requirements. ,
  • Initiating Problem Reports to rectify material and equipment supply issues and acting upon solution proposals. ,
  • Preparing and maintaining status reports for ongoing preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

  • Degree in a related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent education and training). ,

  • Experience or understanding of preventative and corrective maintenance programs and schedules. ,

  • Knowledge of project management principles and relevant legislation (e.g., Occupational Health & Safety Act, environmental compliances). ,

  • Familiarity with Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) fleet operations and maintenance. ,

  • Strong verbal communication and technical report writing skills. ,

  • Proficiency in scheduling software, MS Project, and advanced spreadsheet automation. ,

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills. ,

  • Understanding and experience of Earned Value Management. ,

  • Ability to coordinate the efforts of others to meet objectives. ,

  • Capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
