The following __temporary __ position is open for applications:
**CUSTODIAN ****************************CUPE Competition No.**6204
Location:** MamquamElementary******School
** Temporary ****: ****_ _ Immediately********to June 26, 2026, or return of Incumbent, **whichever occurs first
** __ ******
Hours: ****6.5******hours per day,2 days per week **
Pay:** ******$30.47per hour
** Duties & Responsibilities: **
General cleaning of schools as assigned by the General Manager of Operations, which includes lifting of miscellaneous furniture, changing lights, operation of motorized cleaning equipment, knowledge of chemicals and application of floor coatings and attention to building security.
**Qualifications: **
Completion of Grade 10 plus relevant courses/workshops and up to and including three (3) months related experience or an equivalent combination of related training and experience. Relevant courses/workshops would be the Building Service Worker course. Knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) and Worksafe BC safety regulations.
Competition Closes** Monday April 27, 2026 **at 4:00 PM
Please note that prospective employees new to School District No. 48 (Sea to Sky) must agree to undergo a criminal records check, as failure to do so will be grounds for refusing employment.
