About the opportunity

Are you an experienced DevOps engineer with a strong security mindset, eager to work at the intersection of blockchain, infrastructure, and security? At Figment, we’re building and running staking infrastructure that powers dozens of the most innovative blockchain networks. We’re looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in security to join our SG2 Team, which manages Ethereum infrastructure at scale and collaborates closely with our Security organization.

This is a critical role where you’ll help strengthen our security posture, improve collaboration between DevOps and Security, and ensure our infrastructure remains resilient and trustworthy.

How you will make an impact

  • Lead security-focused DevOps initiatives across SG2, with an emphasis on Kubernetes and HashiCorp Vault.
  • Design, build, and improve CI/CD pipelines with security best practices baked in (secrets management, secure deployments, compliance).
  • Own and scale production infrastructure, primarily in Kubernetes, supporting Ethereum and other staking protocols.
  • Drive cross-team collaboration with Security, embedding security into infrastructure operations and processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, with a focus on preventing recurrence and improving systems.
  • Mentor other engineers in DevOps and security best practices, fostering a culture of learning and resilience.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure the reliability of mission-critical systems.

What you bring to the team

  • 7+ years of experience in a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering role.
  • Deep Kubernetes expertise (designing, operating, and scaling production clusters).
  • Strong experience with HashiCorp Vault (configuration, secrets management, policies, integrations).
  • Proven track record building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on coding/scripting experience (Python, Go, or TypeScript preferred).
  • Solid experience with AWS cloud services (EC2, IAM, S3, VPC, etc.).
  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset, able to bridge DevOps and Security.
  • Experience in blockchain or distributed systems is a strong plus, but not required.

Technologies we use

Kubernetes, Vault, CI/CD tools, Python, Go

  • We aim for the entire process to take around 2-4 weeks from initial screen to offer. There can be exceptions on either side of the bell curve here, but as a rule, that’s the time-frame you can expect.
