RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Elevator Manager, the Elevator Operator is responsible for receiving and load out of grain in a safe, efficient, and traceable manner.
- Bin grain varieties and trace
- Loadout grain varieties and trace
- Safe operations in all weather conditions
- Elevator maintenance and housekeeping
- Other routine duties as assigned
- Some travel between sites may be required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in grain handling, food processing or manufacturing considered an asset.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude through apprenticeship or job related experience.
- Previous safety training an asset.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Ability to work alone or in a group.
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude and self-starter
EDUCATION
- High school diploma. Preference will be given to those applicants with post-secondary education
