ADGA is seeking a Needs Analysis and Researcher to support the development and implementation of a new Counter-Uncrewed Aerial Systems (C-UAS) capability.
This is a high-impact role supporting a new capability for the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). You will support the development of requirements and research planning activities for C-UAS capability development and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the identification and documentation of use-cases, user-needs, systems and integration requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and document analysis. Lead and support capability gap analyses, capability and capacity requirements against operational demand and use cases. Lead and support the identification of research requirements to close capability and capacity gaps. Lead and support studies and review state-of-the-art in C-UAS capabilities and make recommendations to close capability gaps. Liaise with government, industry and research stakeholders to identify C-UAS synergies and opportunities for collaboration.
Provide recommendations to management on options for C-UAS solutions; and
Participate in meetings and briefings as required.
Qualifications
The ability to assess emerging aviation, uncrewed systems, and robotics technologies against operational use cases to identify capability gaps and research needs will be considered a strong asset. Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Operations Research, Applied Mathematics, Management Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or a related engineering or business discipline focused on process management Minimum 7 years of experience (within the last 10 years ) as a Business Analyst, ideally within government, defence, or large-scale, complex programs, with experience in each of the following: Business Process Management (BPM) across the full lifecycle, including discovery, modeling, analysis, measurement, improvement, optimization, and automation Business Process Mapping, with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and structured documentation of current and future-state processes Process Digitization, with experience transforming legacy, paper-based, or manual workflows into secure, IT-enabled digital processes that improve efficiency and enable automation Stakeholder Analysis & Engagement, with demonstrated skill of identifying objectives, scope, inputs/outputs, data requirements, actors, and operational contexts across diverse stakeholder groups
Additional Information
Must currently hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret (Level II) Canadian Federal Government Security clearance. Familiarity with DND processes would be considered a strong asset.
