About the role

Job Description

The University of Toronto invites applications for a tenure-stream position in Digital Curation and Cultural Heritage at the rank of Assistant Professor, in the Faculty of Information. The appointment will begin on July 1, 2024, or shortly thereafter.

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in digital curation and cultural heritage.
  • Conduct research in the field of digital curation and cultural heritage.
  • Supervise graduate students and contribute to the academic community.

Required Qualifications

  • A PhD in Information Studies, Library and Information Science, or a related field.
  • A strong record of research and publication in digital curation and cultural heritage.
  • Experience in teaching at the university level.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital tools and technologies related to cultural heritage.
  • A demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in teaching and research.

Other Relevant Details

  • The successful candidate will be expected to engage in interdisciplinary collaboration and contribute to the Faculty's research initiatives.
