Job Description
Aramark Canada is looking for Hospitality Manager who will be responsible for the full operation of foodservices, housekeeping, and laundry in a multi service environment that includes Long Term Care, Daily Assisted Living for +100 beds facility.
The Hospitality Manager is responsible for the food and facilities contract and its financial accountability, and compliance with the standards established by Aramark Healthcare, regulatory agencies and client. Leads departments of all services managed. Establishes and maintains effective working relationship with other departments to provide unified experience for residents, visitors, and employees. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Job Responsibilities
• The Hospitality Manager plans, administers and directs all unit
activities related to food and facilities service.
• Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace
safety standards.
• Interacts with Client Management and maintains effective client and
customer relations at all levels of client organization, including conducting
rounding. Identifies Aramark service expansion opportunities.
• Provides overall direction and manages performance for all service
supervisors and front-line employees, ensuring employee development,
engagement and compliance with human resource related policies and standards.
• Directs, staffs, and trains all service department regarding quality,
cost control, and cash handling.
• To supervise the Housekeeping and Laundry staff on all shifts in the
performance of their work schedules to ensure adherence to established
departmental cleaning and infection
• control standards.
• To assist with the establishment of housekeeping and laundry standards
and regulatory compliance. Develop work schedules for applicable areas of the
facility.
• Develops operational component forecasts and can explain variances.
Responsible for component's accounting functions.
• Ensures compliance with all contract obligations.
• Performs/delegates monthly Food Safe Audit (Food Safety and Fundamentals)
• Performs/delegates monthly Qualtrics targets
• Performs/delegates monthly Housekeeping Audits (Facility Fit Pro – FFP)
• Performs/delegates monthly Safe Briefs, Safe Observations, JHSC Meetings
and Workplace Inspections
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Food Service & Nutrition Management is an
asset.
• Requires 5+year’s progressive experience managing operations with $1 - $2
million financial and operational responsibility. Multi-service experience
would be considered an asset.
• Healthcare Food Service management, Environmental, Facility engineering
role in large complex site preferred.
• Familiarity with PIDAC (Provincial Infectious Disease Advisory Committee)
is an asset
• Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively with
clients, customers of the client and support staff.
• P&L accountability and/or contract-managed service experience is
desirable.
• Requires management and leadership skills and the ability to work with
confidential employee, client, and Aramark information.
