About the role

The Opportunity: The SAP Consultant role for Maple Leaf Foods Information Systems is primarily a technical role focusing on SAP Identity Management. In this role you would be responsible for day-to-day support of SAP Identity systems and processes, compliance, the implementation of new applications, and the support of cross functional projects. Working directly with the Director of Security Strategy and Architecture, this role is accountable for vetting solutions, providing input into system maintenance, identity governance, change requests, segregation of duties, and assisting in the day-to-day support.

  • Identity and role provisioning / deprovisioning using SAP GRC (Access Control), IDM, SuccessFactors.
  • Role Assignment & Management: Analyze, build, and assign appropriate business roles using GRC or IDM. Maintaining SoD (Segregation of Duties) compliance and mitigate risks.
  • Validating SAP user attributes, job roles, and overall access to ensure accurate access assignment and compliance with segregation of duty requirements.
  • C3 Compliance/Internal Audit Team point of contact and Audit
  • Governance naming conventions and ensuring people are doing things in consistent standard
  • IDM Decision Request changes after approval of user access
  • SAP Licensing estimates, requests, audits
  • Plan and coordinate cleanups of all SAP environments from an IDM perspective.
  • Transport (ITIL) approval between established SAP environments
  • Participate in architectural reviews of SAP landscape Meeting on technology and software
  • Meetings for large projects e.g. SAP Upgrade, Bogart, Azure Landing Zone, AD Assessment, Risk Register reviews

Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly Cycle

  • Attend weekly Project Management Office and Change/Release committees
  • C3 Steering Quarterly Reporting (including evidence of review and sign off)
  • IDM monthly access reviews
  • Review capital and operational projects assessing the cost against budget.
  • Input into monthly forecasting
  • Review SAP monthly SAP Runbook
  • Provide input into Sponsor and Steering committee decks as needed.
  • Provide timely updates at Project Team Meetings
  • Input into cross functional IS Director Meeting
  • Review C3 IT Matrix control Monthly
  • SAP Review GRC Trending Reporting
  • SAP Review IDM Decision Request proposals before they go for a decision

Annual Budgeting

  • Work with Information System teams to vet project priorities for the following year.
  • Assist with resource planning for team members to projects.

People/Team Development

  • Assist junior members of the team by providing guidance

Position Outcomes

  • Deliver sound solutions against planned IS and business priorities.
  • Manage releases and transports that do not adversely impact business activities.
  • Bring thought leadership in area of expertise by attending conferences and through networking opportunities.
  • Development of a stronger Information Solutions SAP IDM Team

What You’ll Bring:

  • Deep SAP experience 12-15 years implementation experience across large scale projects $3-7M
  • Deep knowledge of financial integration across the full end-to-end landscape
  • Demonstrated personal leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence others regardless of their level in the organization.
  • Work seamlessly across functions
  • Act on convictions, not afraid to take risks, insists on being heard.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of FI/CO in S/4 or ECC, BPC and/or SAC, Concur, Ariba
  • Strong business acumen and critical thinking skills
  • Proven evaluator and developer of talent
  • Ability to communicate concisely and precisely both verbally and in written form.
  • Exceptional organization leadership, ability to manage time, set priorities and work efficiently under pressure.
  • High intellect with ability to adjust quickly to circumstances without losing sight of own responsibilities and organizational goals.
