Overall Job Purpose
This role is responsible for overseeing system administration and leading user acceptance testing for insurance technology solutions. It also serves as a key liaison, managing communication and processes related to technology in partnership with our technology teams, advisors and management.
Key Accountabilities:
- Insurance technology administration:
- User Set up
- Deactivations
- Product & product code setup
- Updating Insurance Technology content
- Updating the content on IG’s internal website pages
- Updating and maintaining the department’s sharepoint folder
- Monitors insurance content for required updates and updates appropriately.
- Insurance Illustration Software
- Working with the carriers and technology partners for implementation
- Testing the software
- Facilitating the issue resolution with internal & external stakeholders
- Test Cases
- Development and execution of user acceptance test cases (Illustration software, Corporate Initiatives, W. Insurance or any other system).
- Insurance Date Files
- Receive, validate, format and save insurance data files received from insurance carriers
- Work with Data Platform team to update the files into the system
- Correspond with the insurance carriers to resolve any issues within their files
- Support
- Triaging & tracking insurance data and technology questions and resolving tier 1 support type inquires
Main Contacts:
**Data Platform:**Providing support, loading data, general inquires.
**Field Support:**Data issues, data merges.
**Carrier:**Data issues, data feed inquiries.
Qualifications:
-
Completion of a post-secondary degree or equivalent in a relevant business or technology related discipline
-
Ability to communicate business and technology information effectively
-
Proficient with Word, Excel, Power Point, MS Project and Visio
-
Understanding of basic database concepts
Nice to Have:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology or related field
-
1 Year in technology or data related role
-
Experience with user acceptance testing
-
Experience in the Financial Services industry is an asset
-
Bilingualism would be an asset

Understanding of markup language
The expected annual base salary range for this role is $58 000 - $70 500, which is determined based on skills, knowledge and experience and geographic location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for annual short-term incentive, health and well-being benefits, retirement and savings plan, paid time off and career development.
