YOUR IMPACT

As a manager within the Data and Analytics team, you will be at the heart of building out our Data, Analytics, and Reporting platform. You will lead a team of Developers and Sr. Developers, ensuring the daily operational excellence of the team, supporting and mentoring team through data engineering development work, and ensuring agile processes are followed. This role will offer a mix of hands-on data and reporting development work with operational team leadership. You will apply your expertise in building data pipelines, reports, and contributing to our enterprise data platform. Ideally, you will be a self-starter with a proventrack record in similar roles at other data-driven organizations.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

Non-Technical Responsibilities (Operational Team Management)

  • Technical and Operational Leadership of Team of Developers
  • Manage team workload and provide technical leadership in solutioning
  • Lead scrum practices within team
  • Ensure solutions are documented and tested according to team standards
  • Best Practice and Process Development
  • Develop and implement best practices for both technical and process needs, and work cross-functionally with other scrum teams to suggest improvements
  • Education and Mentorship
  • Working with Sr. Managers, support the training needs of team and suggest learning paths to support career development of team members
  • Provide training to business stakeholders as required; such as product demos and platform demos

Technical Responsibilities (Operational& Tool-Based)

  • Data Pipeline Development with MS Fabric
  • Design, develop, and test metadata driven pipelines in MS Fabric
  • Design and implement pipelines for data curation, preparing data for business reporting
  • Work with product owners and architects to understand requirements for new projects
  • Reporting Development with Power BI
  • Work with business stakeholders to demo and iterate on report design, ensuring needs are captured for effective decision making
  • Design, develop, and test reports using Power BI within the Fabric environment

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Certifications in a data analytics field a plus.

Experience: 2+ years in a management role delivering data solutions.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of data management, analytics, and data visualization tools such as PowerBI. Excellent SQL skills and PySpark/Python knowledge are essential. Experience with legacy MS stack including SSIS is beneficial.

Analytical Skills: Proven ability to analyze complex problems and to come up with solutions to deliver against hard timelines whilst managing risk.

Project Management: Self starting planning skills, ability to lead Agile methodologies across the team, ability to ensure team is following all standards for documentation and handovers

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing issues.
