Position Summary
The Manager, Technology plays a critical role in delivering business value by transforming strategic vision into actionable technology solutions. This role is responsible for managing the implementation, deployment, and operation of technology platforms across the organization, with a strong focus on hospitality systems, point-of-sale (POS) environments, and large-scale project execution. The Manager, Technology works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all technology initiatives align with business goals, budgets, and timelines. This role reports directly to the Director, Technology.
Position Responsibilities
Project Management

Manage large technology initiatives, including hospitality platform rollouts, POS implementations, ERP upgrades, and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

Oversee end-to-end project delivery from scoping and budgeting to task execution and post-implementation review.

Maintain a culture of accountability, transparency, and integrity within the technology team.

Motivate, coach, and mentor team members to develop technical and leadership skills.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance efficiency, scalability, and guest experiences.

Translate business vision into actionable roadmaps and technology strategies.
Operational Management
-
Manage Technology, Applications, ERP, and Hospitality Systems support teams, ensuring consistent delivery of services and adherence to policies.

Maintain operational excellence through best practices in IT service management, operational controls, and system support.

Ensure high availability and reliability of critical business systems, including hospitality applications, POS platforms, and ERP solutions.

Manage IT infrastructure and network connectivity across multiple locations, ensuring robust performance and uptime.

Safeguard company systems and data through effective cybersecurity controls, access management, and backup strategies.
Experience & Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
-
A wide range of certifications in IT.
-
Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience with implementing ERP updates (e.g. Yardi) considered an asset.
-
Experience overseeing multi-site technology operations in hospitality, real estate, or related industries is considered an asset.
-
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and present to executives, management, and front-line staff.
-
Demonstrated ability to manage and negotiate with third-party consultants, vendors, and service providers.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize competing business needs.

Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with a track record of driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with Microsoft 365 ecosystem; exposure to hospitality and POS platforms (e.g., Square, Lightspeed, TouchBistro) highly valued.
