As a Bid Manager, working in the Alternative Projects Center of Expertise (APEX) team at Pomerleau Construction, you will be responsible for leading estimating and proposal teams in developing highly competitive bids with client needs front of mind. Supporting our work on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with management, external consultants, and joint-venture partners to develop a winning proposal strategy.
What you will do:
Collaborate with the Regional Leadership team to develop strategies for winning complex
P3, Design-Build, and other alternative contracting model projects.
Lead the management of design, technical writing, estimating, construction, scheduling, risk, and commercial teams throughout the bid process.
Develop, monitor, and maintain the proposal budget with support from management and engineering partners.
Prepare, monitor, and maintain the proposal schedule with assistance from the scheduling team.
Coordinate with the proposal team to finalize construction costs (CAPEX) and project cash flows with estimating and scheduling teams.
Adopt a holistic approach to O&M and construction to create cost-effective solutions and designs.
Support the production and review of technical documents, influencing the design of permanent works for cost efficiency.
Manage contract agreements with partners, coordinate technical and commercial RFIs, develop winning proposal themes, and build long-lasting relationships with stakeholders.
This role could be right for you if you have:
10+ years of relevant construction experience in a similar role.
A proven track record working on P3, design build and other alternative contract delivery projects.
A University degree or diploma in architecture or engineering.
