Position Type: Contract Contract Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension and conversion based on business needs and performance) Pay Rate: C$60.00–C$70.00 / Hour (CAD) Shift / Schedule: Monday–Friday, core business hours — 37.5 hours per week, 7.5 hours per day; overtime possible Travel Requirements: Not required
Job Summary
This Project Control Officer role supports the Road to Strong (RTS) mandatory remediation initiative within a team of 10 professionals. The contractor will spend approximately 25% of the day in meetings and will interact with both internal and external stakeholders. The contractor will not have access to any customer data. Performance will be measured by deliverables and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
RAID Log Management — Ingestion of Risk/Action/Issue/Decision items; maintain coherency and currency of the RAID log Reporting — Consolidation and preparation of reporting materials including weekly status reports, ESC materials, and ad-hoc requests Interdependency Management — Consolidation and tracking of interdependencies across project workstreams as well as outside of the project Financial Management — Consolidation of monthly cost forecasts, tracking of actual spend, and analysis of variances between forecast and actuals Project Change Control — Maintain PCR list and action related tasks and activities Artifact Management — Organize, track, and index required artifacts; log exceptions and exemptions; assist during compliance and delivery assurance reviews Schedule Management — Track and report on identified tasks, deliverables, and milestones; highlight and escalate slippages for action and attention
Required Skills
10 years of Project Monitoring and Control Activity experience (Schedule Management, Reporting, RAID Management, Financial Management) — in-depth knowledge required (flexible with 5+ years) Large project/program delivery experience Strong stakeholder management experience Methodology knowledge (PDLC, Agile, Hybrid) Knowledge of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Project) JIRA, Confluence, Clarity, and SharePoint experience Strong communication skills (written and verbal) Strong time management and priority management skills Attention to detail; self-starter and adaptable Ability to work with ambiguity and limited direction
Preferred Skills
Banking or financial institution experience PMP certification
Required Experience
Minimum 5–10 years of Project Monitoring and Control Activity experience, including Schedule Management, Reporting, RAID Management, and Financial Management Demonstrated experience on large project or program delivery Strong stakeholder management background
Education Requirements
Post-secondary education is an asset PMP certification is an asset
