Job Summary:
Responsible for all site inventory and acts as the Site Purchasing Agent. Tasks include but are not limited to: building custodian; ensures buildings and infrastructure are operational, safe and well maintained. Inventory control; operates a computer to maintain inventory, records and schedules. Lead MAAR operator; drives, sets up and operates Mobile After Action Review (MAAR) Equipment. General support to the Logistic Support Building (LSB) and EXCON teams.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintains a purchasing register for all departments and ensures requests receive management approval.

Upon approval, facilitates purchases, liaises with suppliers and follows up on orders.
-
Receives and reconciles orders as they are filled; ensures products get to the requesting department.
-
Forwards receipts for payment to the Administrative Assistant, detailing managerial guidelines for payment type and cost center.
-
Completes cost analysis to ensure optimal financial effectiveness on all purchases.
-
Liaises with San Diego receipt and purchasing departments.
-
Monitors the LSB for maintenance requirements.
-
Supports issue and receipt of equipment to provide customer service to army personnel.
-
Operates various Material Handling Units.
-
Organizes contractors to carry out repairs and ensures timely completion.
-
Maintains a detailed and accurate inventory of the LSB and EXCON of Cubic owned equipment. Completes periodic audit and checks of holdings.
-
Operates electronic and audiovisual equipment during the MAAR deployments.
-
Provides support during MAAR deployments of video production and post-production of AARs which includes interaction with the Army Observer Controllers and the operation of the A/V equipment during the AAR.
-
Responsible for driving and operating the Mobile AAR Equipment on Military Training Area.
-
Performs domestic and international shipping and receiving duties.
-
Performs controlled good duties.
-
Unpacks and repacks storage containers.
-
Inspects items for damage.
-
Maintains records. Oversees site clothing requirements and purchases. Holds a stock and inventory detailing items held and issued.
-
Operates a personal computer, hand-held scanner and bar code printer used for inventory control.
-
Performs readiness tests and maintains operation and maintenance records.
-
Acts as focal point for site visitors, submits visitor and vehicle pass requests, meets and ensures smooth transition onto base.
-
Uses a hand-held radio to gain access to training areas through authorization from Range Control.
-
Assists the vehicle fleet supervisor with vehicle movement and coordination of valeting and servicing.
-
Troubleshoots, performs operator maintenance and repairs audiovisual equipment and their peripherals using procedures in applicable technical manuals, drawings, schematics and handbooks.

Assigns PO numbers to orders and tracks admin budget in the administration assistants’ absence.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- High school degree, or equivalent, required plus a minimum of four to six years’ experience with procurement, technical / audio / visual equipment and customer service.
- Military background or extensive experience working with the military and Class 1 license with air endorsement is desired.
- Must be able to operate a computer, maintain a filing system and ledger.
- Must be able to read and follow instructions and technical manuals and have the ability to carry out low level repairs of equipment.
- Requires mental alertness and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Must be able to maintain concentration and work under the pressure of deadlines.
- Requires the ability to lift 75 pounds.
- Job duties entail bending, reaching, lifting and fitting in confined spaces to perform duties.
Cubic Pay Range:
$1.00 - $1.00 + benefits.
