As the Associate Director, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, you’ll play a pivotal role in connecting students, faculty, alumni, and research teams with the tools, resources, and networks needed to launch and scale ventures and social enterprises.

The Role

- Lead Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programming for students, faculty, and alumni, promoting entrepreneurship as a cross-disciplinary skillset.
- Support Commercialization & Venture Development by guiding research innovations through structured pathways, building industry and investor partnerships, and delivering mentorship, workshops, and pitch experiences.
- Drive Strategic Alignment & Growth by developing roadmaps, tracking KPIs, managing budgets, and securing funding through grants, sponsorships, and proposals.
- Strengthen Partnerships & Engagement across the institution, regional innovation centers, incubators, and accelerators, while representing SAIT at key events.
- Foster Inclusive Impact by ensuring programs are accessible, outcome-driven, and celebrating entrepreneurial success stories.
Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, Technology or related field; a Master’s is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in entrepreneurship, start-up ecosystems, social innovation, or research commercialization
- Knowledge of incubators, accelerators, venture capital, and commercialization pathways is required
- Proven success in developing and managing venture support programs
- Strategic thinker with strong implementation skills
- Ability to interpret data to inform strategic decisions and demonstrate program impact
- Excellent communicator with the ability to engage academic and industry audiences
- Skilled relationship-builder and cross-sector collaborator
- Entrepreneurial mindset grounded in inclusion, innovation and impact
Job classification: Associate Director
Salary range: $140,000 - 160,000
Paid Leave: 4 Weeks Vacation / 14 Flex Days per year

Hours Per Week: 37.5
