About The Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Oracle Cloud Junior Functional Analyst to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, process improvement, and learning how enterprise systems support complex business operations.

As a Junior Analyst, you will work closely with senior functional analysts, technical teams, and business stakeholders to support the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Oracle Cloud applications. You’ll contribute to functional analysis, configuration, and user support while developing your expertise in Oracle’s cloud-based ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with finance on their newly delivered Global Oracle Cloud Fusion system, to deliver high calibre system reports, analysis, and support so business needs are met.
  • Provide support services to the Cloud instance of Oracle Fusion which includes the following modules: General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management, Project Accounting, Fixed Assets, Accounting Hub, Tax, Intercompany, OTBI and BI Publisher. With occasional support with FCCS, EDMCS, ARCS, EPBCS and OIC.
  • Provide investigation and resolution to incidents and defects related to the full end-to-end process, Oracle modules and connected systems to the Finance domain, considering root cause resolution and scalability.
  • Replicate system issues in development environments and support with testing changes ensuring the changes pass acceptance testing and controls.
  • Provide system administration, maintenance, interface management and support with control of Opening/Closure of ledgers during month end periods.
  • Raise continuous improvements to tackle high ticket counts.
  • Work with the 3rd Party support partners, using their ticket portals, to resolve issues.
  • Highlight major impacting issues to the Oracle Support Manager to ensure the business impact is managed.
  • Ensure excellent customer service is always delivered to end users.

Competencies

  • You'll need a good understanding of Oracle Cloud Financial modules (1+ year)
  • Strong understanding of finance processes.
  • Proficient in analysing requirements, configuring systems, conducting user training, and providing ongoing support is crucial.
  • Oracle certifications are a bonus.
  • Excellent communication skills and customer service
  • Understanding of accounting and month end processes
  • Ability to liaise comfortably with key stakeholders
  • Proven ability in translating end users requests into system requests.
  • Operationally focused and confident in working within a busy and fast paced environment.

Personal Characteristics

  • Quebec French speaking is a bonus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to tune style and approach to create effective relationships with a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, including to a senior level and internationally.
  • Is curious, with an open, questioning style with the confidence to challenge assumptions and ask “why?” constructively.
  • Interested in and an active contributor to automation and continuous improvement, recognising that small changes as well as big-ticket projects create a real business benefit.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • A self-starter, decisive and able to work at pace, confident to prioritise, take ownership and make appropriate decisions to drive topics forward. Has a ‘once a commitment is made, it is kept’ mindset.
