About the Role

Maintain the standards of proper and accurate mixing of all beverages according to bar

standards provided by the Harrison Hot Springs Resort & Spa. Ensure that beverages and food

are served as quickly and efficiently as possible, with the highest quality and consistent

standards.

What You’ll Do

  • Open and close the bar in accordance with company standards.

  • Take guest orders at the pool bar and from servers.

  • Pour and mix all drinks as they are ordered, measured and made to standard.

  • Handle room charges and credit/debit card purchases accurately.

  • Keep the bar neat and clean; remove used glasses and dishes, etc.

  • Order supplies in accordance with established par stocks.

  • Order any additional items required by going through the Banquet orders and

reservations, in a proactive manner.

  • Ensure all fridges and storage cupboards are cleaned on a weekly basis or as required

and are properly locked before leaving each shift.

  • Prepare all liquor requisitions as required.

  • Assist with training, stocking, ordering and inventory.

  • Complete additional job-related duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • 1 year bartending experience in a busy environment; or equivalent combination of

education and experience.

  • Current Food Safe certification (required).

  • Current Serving it Right certification (required).

  • Exceptional customer service or public contact experience.

  • Ability to explain standards and laws, ability to deal sensitively with people who may

have diminished capacity due to alcohol or drug consumption.

  • Touch screen POS experience would be an asset.

  • Strong cash handling skills to control cash, credit and debit, find and correct mistakes

should they occur.

  • Capacity to safely lift/move up to 30 lbs. and stand/walk for long periods per shift.

  • Strong organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to work a changing schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays, etc.).

  • Fluent English communication skills (required); multi-lingual ability is a strong asset.
