YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:
Reporting to the Mine Planning Superintendent, you will be a part of the Technical Services Team. You will play an essential role in supporting the accuracy, efficiency, and safety of our open-pit operation. Your work will contribute directly to daily production success and long‑term mine planning. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Survey & Mapping

Perform open-pit site surveying and mapping to support safe and efficient operations
-
Conduct topographic surveys using UAV technology to capture accurate site data
Production Support
-
Lay out production drill patterns, restricted areas, dig limits, ore boundaries, and dump limits
-
Pick up drilled production, toe and wall limits, and monitor subsidence or stability changes
-
Verify field pick-ups for design compliance and assist with grade floor evaluations
Design & Planning
-
Update pit and site status maps and prepare monthly volume calculation reports
-
Support the layout of blast patterns, RC holes, and maintain blast master drawings
-
Provide guidance for the construction of new ramps, roads, and other key infrastructure
-
Provide expertise to ensure our teams operate safely, efficiently, and in alignment with engineering requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
-
Postsecondary Degree or Diploma in Surveying, or a comparable blend of education and practical experience;
-
Approximately five years of surveying experience — open-pit experience is an asset but not mandatory;
-
Proficiency with 3D mine planning and design software (Maptek experience preferred);
-
Clear, confident verbal and written communication skills.

Comfortable working outdoors for most of the rotation, with support and appropriate PPE provided;
-
Physically able to lift and carry surveying equipment (up to 50 lbs);
-
Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe work environment;
-
Experience in remote mine operations is an advantage.
Your Work Schedule:

Rotation: 7/7 schedule at our Detour Lake Site;

Accommodations: Private accommodations and meals provided on site at no cost;

Travel: Transportation is provided to and from the mine site. Additional travel expenses may be covered depending on your Canadian residence location;

Compensation Statement
In accordance with applicable legislation, the expected compensation includes base salary and potential bonus opportunity. Your individual pay will reflect your skills and experience while remaining competitive within the local market.
