Job Summary
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager oversees all day-to-day operational activities for Lynco Energy Services ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This role is responsible for workforce coordination, equipment and material planning, operational workflows, and supporting field leadership across multiple industrial sites. The incumbent is a key driver of productivity, safety performance, and client satisfaction, and provides direct leadership and supervision to operational personnel.
The incumbent will conduct all activities in a manner that supports the mission, vision and values of Lynco, as well as adherence to all established Policies and Procedures.
This permanent, full-time, salary position is located within the Lloydminster region, Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Duties and Responsibilities

Lead daily operations across industrial construction, maintenance, and fabrication projects.

Ensure crews, equipment, and materials are properly allocated and mobilized.
-
Maintain operational readiness by coordinating with project managers, superintendents, and field shop supervisors.
-
Monitor job progress, identify issues early, and implement mitigation plans.
-
Support project scheduling, labour forecasting, and resource planning.
-
Review work scopes, deliverables, and constraints to ensure operational feasibility.
-
Coordinate equipment rentals, fleet utilization, and maintenance schedules.
-
Work with procurement to ensure timely delivery of materials and consumables.
-
Champion a strong safety-first culture across all sites.
-
Ensure compliance with Occupational, Health, and Safety regulations, client requirements, and internal safety policies.
-
Conduct assessments of job progress to ensure services are delivered safely, on time, within quality standards, and on budget.

Contributes to the preparation comprehensive bid packages for new projects.

Ensure adherence to all contract terms. Manage contract renewals, amendments, and terminations, as necessary.

Participate in incident investigations and ensure actions items are implemented.

Ensure work meets industrial standards, client specifications, and company quality expectations.

Track Key Performance Indicators (KPI), such as, productivity, rework, equipment utilization, and schedule performance.

Identify inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
-
Support implementation of standardized processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
-
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to field supervisors and frontline workers.

Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and workforce development.
-
Address performance issues promptly and constructively.
-
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and professionalism.
-
Maintain strong communication with clients, project teams, and internal leadership.

Provide operational updates, progress reports, and recommendations.

Support client meetings, site walks, and planning sessions, and
-
Other relatable duties as required.
Qualifications
- Grade twelve (12) Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalency or a relative certified trade certificate, along with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a managerial capacity is required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in industrial construction, maintenance, fabrication or contracting operations is required.
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver’s Licence, along with a reasonable clean driver’s abstract is required.
- Criminal Record Check is required.
- Strong understanding of industrial jobsite requirements, safety standards, and trade workflows.
- Proven leadership experience managing crews, supervisors, or multi-site operations.
- Demonstrate excellent planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficiency with scheduling tools, project management systems, and operational reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain working relationships with supervision and clients.
- Must be proficient with all Microsoft office suite applications; and
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to listen effectively, respond appropriately, and maintain comfort level while relating to a diverse workforce.
Qualified status with the Métis Nation of Alberta or fluency in Dene Cree are preferred candidate traits.
