About the Role
We’re looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our team as Deskside Support Specialist. In this role, you will provide IT technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and configure and maintain end user technology including laptops and mobile devices. You will work closely with other members of the IT department to support business and IT users while resolving issues efficiently and effectively. This role operates with minimal supervision and contributes to improving the overall end user experience.
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site and remote support activities including user moves and adds, conference room and digital signage support, and executive concierge services.
- Serve as a point of escalation for the service desk team.
- Perform problem management including root cause analysis and problem creation to reduce tickets and improve processes.
- Engage in project work related to end user services.
- Establish and maintain positive working relationships across organizational departments.
- Manage end user related change control activities.
- Document and maintain procedures according to departmental standards.
- Act as the deskside support point of contact with vendors.
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years technical end user support work experience.
- Experience with networking, Microsoft products, and various IT systems.
- Knowledge of Active Directory concepts and administration.
- Experience supporting M365/MS Office and Wi-Fi-enabled devices.
- Demonstrated problem solving ability and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Education: College/University degree preferred.
- Technical certifications preferred such as CompTIA A+/Net+ or ITIL V4.
- Knowledge of ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Intune.
- Scripting, packaging, and deployment knowledge for applications and operating system changes.
- Experience supporting remote users.
**Current Location:**Mississauga. Our Mississauga office will move to 1 Adelaide in Toronto in September 2026.
The hiring base salary range for this position is $62,600 - $86,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
