These individuals work closely with clients to identify opportunities for growth, optimise operations, and enhance overall business performance.
In technology strategy at PwC, you will specialise in developing and implementing strategic plans to leverage technology for business growth and innovation. Working in this area, you will collaborate with stakeholders to align technology strategies with overall business objectives to increase utilisation of technology resources, driving competitive advantage.
As an experienced AWS Developer with 5-7 years of hands-on experience to architect, deploy, and optimize scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-native solutions. This role drives DevOps best practices, building robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), automating infrastructure with CloudFormation and Terraform, and expertly supporting containerized workloads on ECS, EKS, and Docker. The ideal candidate will implement comprehensive security (IAM, GuardDuty), monitoring (CloudWatch), and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA) across all environments, ensuring operational efficiency, and collaborating across teams to foster continuous improvement and cloud innovation.
**Meaningful work

As an AWS Developer, you will
be responsible for
owning and continuously enhancing an internal developer portal built on a SaaS foundation. This portal serves as the central hub for engineering teams, integrating public APIs, webhooks, and custom UI/UX components designed with jQuery and modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver a seamless developer experience. You will also architect and

Python-based microservices leveraging frameworks such as
FastAPI

Furthermore, you will conduct vulnerability assessments and respond to security incidents using GuardDuty and Security Hub, and ensure compliance with standards like SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO. You will monitor
system health with CloudWatch and implement auto-remediation
strategies
and troubleshoot complex production issues to
maintain
optimal
performance.
-
Beyond technical delivery, you will play a leadership role: conducting architecture and code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, maintaining infrastructure documentation, runbooks, and automation scripts, and collaborating across product and platform teams to align on best practices, drive DevOps culture, and cloud-native adoption. You will stay current with AWS innovations and continuously improve operational efficiency. Candidates with contributions to open
source projects, technical blogs, or experience with platforms like Backstage or Temporal.io will be highly valued, as these
demonstrate
thought leadership and community engagement.
**Experiences and skills

use to solve**
-

IaC
(CloudFormation, Terraform, serverless workflows) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), and providing expert support for containerized workloads (ECS, EKS, Docker).

Implement comprehensive security (IAM, GuardDuty
, Security Hub), monitoring (CloudWatch with auto-remediation), and compliance (SOC2, HIPAA, ISO) across all AWS environments, ensuring operational stability and reliability.
-
Validate service activation flows,
maintain
essential documentation and runbooks, and actively collaborate across teams to foster a strong DevOps culture, drive cloud-native adoption, and continuously improve operational efficiency through AWS innovations.
-
Deep understanding of AWS data lake storage optimization (leveraging
Amazon S3), including efficient file format
selection
(e.g., Parquet, ORC, or Delta Lake), partitioning strategies, and S3 Lifecycle Management for cost and performance.
-
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex, ambiguous data problems in a production environment, including performance tuning and root cause analysis.
-
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruiting is just getting started, so we know you have questions about how and why we use it. At certain points during our recruiting process, we rely on AI to improve your experience. This could be during resume review or curating personalized job recommendations, asking you clarifying questions via a chatbot or during our interview scheduling to improve your experience. Our use of AI helps ensure we combat bias by evaluating candidates equally and fairly, without seeing identity information, such as your name, or gender for example). AI also helps us better predict successful hires by reviewing all applicants for a role and the relationship between your skills, experience and likely success at PwC Canada. While AI supports parts of our recruitment process, final hiring decisions always involve human review. For more information about our use and protection of your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy (https://www.pwc.com/ca/en/privacy-policy.html).
