Data Specialist
TheData Specialistis responsible for the development, maintenance, and analysis of data systems and reporting tools that support operational and strategic decision-making. This position works collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate data management, reporting, and process efficiency in accordance with organizational policies, and applicable legislation.
Pay Rate:$35.00 - $40.00/hour
**Work Location:**Please note that this position is based fully in-office in Richmond, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain, enhance, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to ensure accurate and consistent visualization of operational and security-related metrics
- Prepare and deliver monthly statistical reports and datasets to support leadership, planning, and operational review
- Analyze large datasets using SQL to identify trends, risks, and performance indicators, in collaboration with security and operational teams
- Design, develop, and maintain automated workflows using Power Automate to improve efficiency and consistency of internal processes
- Develop, maintain, and administer SharePoint lists, libraries, and sites to support data governance, documentation, and team collaboration
- Develop, document, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for new and existing systems, tools, and processes
- Ensure all work complies with organizational policies, privacy legislation, and information-security requirements
- Perform other related duties, consistent with the scope and classification of the position, as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards and analytical reports
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft 365 applications
- Experience managing SharePoint lists, libraries, and site configurations
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is preferred
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to organize workload, prioritize tasks, and meet established deadlines
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing Power Automate workflow
- Proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large or complex datasets
