Job Details Position Title: Registration Coordinator
Status: Full Time
Hours : 35 hours per week
Faculty/Department : Office of the Registrar
Campus/Location: North campus. This a hybrid position and the successful candidate must be comfortable working on-site for a minimum of three (3) days per week.
Salary: Payband I - Min. $39.34 - Max $45.59
Progression through the payband is in accordance with the increments in the payband as outline in the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement based on actual service in the payband.
About The Office Of The Registrar At Humber The Office of the Registrar supports and celebrates student success. We provide students and the campus community with support through the distribution of key information, high-quality service delivery and the maintenance of essential systems and processes. Our dedicated staff work in a myriad of areas including Admissions, Academic Records, Convocation, Contact Centre, Fees, Financial Aid, Registration & Course Scheduling, Reporting, and Student Systems at both our North and Lakeshore campuses. About The Registration Coordinator Role Under direction of the Manager, Registration, Scheduling, and Curriculum, the incumbent recommends remedies to problems affecting registration of full-time and part-time Degree, Diploma and Certificate students. The incumbent lays the foundation for the annual registration cycle, coordinates and executes the validation prior to each registration cycle, the timely publication of registration related materials and tracking of student registrations. The incumbent is expected to be the subject matter expert on registration, creates training material and trains users on appropriate processes in relation to registration, is responsible for maintenance of the Tuition and Ancillary Fees Reporting Operating Procedures Guidelines set by the MCU, and works as part of the Convocation team to support the Spring and Fall ceremonies.
The incumbent must be self-directed and possess a significant breadth of knowledge in registration, records and scheduling processes to be able to identify the impact of decisions and changes to the systems or procedures. This position is critical to the overall functioning of the college in that the incumbent coordinate the timing of events and provides the framework for other members of the department to follow through with the processing of data. The incumbent will also support the Scheduling Coordinator role at peak times in the academic cycle.

Education
- The successful candidate will possess a 4 year diploma/degree in Business Management, Database Management or Computer Applications.
Experience/Skills:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working in a post-secondary education environment demonstrating a strong understanding of course and program registration.
- The incumbent must possess a high level of technical and problem solving skills and a significant understanding of the academic catalogue and program completion requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Superior communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to explain complex processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency working with student information systems and relational databases (e.g. Banner and/or large student record data reports)
- Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines and can handle many tasks and projects simultaneously
- Thorough critical thinking ability and judgement in order to make and defend decisions
- Excellent interpersonal skills for advising and conflict resolution; and the ability to interpret guidelines and be able to determine when decisions or processes need to be reviewed / revised.
