About the role
<p>309A Service Electrician</p> <p>We're looking for an experienced <strong>309A Service Electrician</strong> to join a growing mechanical services team supporting commercial, industrial, and multi-residential clients across the GTA.</p> <p>This is a <strong>full-time, year-round role</strong> focused on:</p> <ul> <li> Service </li> <li> Repair </li> <li> Troubleshooting </li> <li> Emergency response </li> <li> Electrical upgrades </li> </ul> <p>No seasonal layoffs.</p> <p>You'll work across a wide variety of environments and systems, handling both scheduled service work and urgent after-hours calls.</p> <p>This role is ideal for a licensed electrician who:</p> <ul> <li> Is confident troubleshooting independently in the field </li> <li> Can manage service work without constant oversight </li> <li> Communicates professionally with clients, tenants, and internal teams </li> </ul> <p>You'll be supported by dispatch, leadership, and a collaborative service team that includes electricians, plumbers, and HVAC professionals.</p> <p>Participation in an on-call rotation and after-hours emergency service is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li> Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems across commercial, industrial, and multi-residential properties </li> <li> Respond to service calls ranging from lighting/device issues to major power failures, panels, transformers, and switchgear </li> <li> Restore power and safely return building systems online following outages or failures </li> <li> Repair and replace panels, breakers, disconnects, distribution equipment, and related electrical components </li> <li> Perform service upgrades, retrofits, panel replacements, and modernization work in occupied buildings </li> <li> Complete lighting upgrades and LED retrofits, including exterior and signage systems </li> <li> Troubleshoot and repair parking lot lighting, exterior electrical systems, and signage systems </li> <li> Support renovation and suite upgrade projects, including fuse-to-breaker conversions and electrical upgrades </li> <li> Work safely in older buildings, electrical rooms, mechanical spaces, and active service environments </li> <li> Collaborate with electricians, HVAC technicians, plumbers, dispatch, and office teams </li> <li> Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately 1 week every 3?4 weeks initially) </li> <li> Maintain professional communication with clients, tenants, suppliers, and internal teams </li> </ul> <p>What You Bring</p> <ul> <li> Valid 309A Electrician License </li> <li> Valid G Driver's License with clean abstract </li> <li> Minimum 5 years of commercial and/or multi-residential service experience </li> <li> Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities </li> <li> Ability to independently manage service calls and job execution </li> <li> Experience in service/repair environments rather than strictly new construction </li> <li> Comfortable working in older buildings and challenging site conditions </li> <li> Willingness to participate in after-hours emergency service and on-call rotation </li> <li> Professional, reliable, customer-focused attitude </li> <li> Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills </li> </ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <ul> <li> Competitive pay: $45?55/hour base </li> <li> Overtime, on-call, and holiday premiums </li> <li> Guaranteed year-round work ? no seasonal layoffs </li> <li> Company vehicle, gas card, uniform, and phone provided </li> <li> Comprehensive health and dental benefits </li> <li> Group retirement savings plan </li> <li> Stable, growing company with a strong pipeline of service work </li> <li> Supportive team environment with experienced leadership </li> <li> Real autonomy in the field ? trusted to do your job </li> </ul> <p>Ready to Apply?</p> <p>If you're a licensed 309A electrician who thrives in service work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants consistent, well-paid work with a strong team beh
