We are seeking a driven and analytical Investments Associate to join our entrepreneurial team and play a hands-on role in the full investment cycle — from sourcing and evaluating opportunities through underwriting, due diligence, execution, and post-acquisition performance.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Work closely with senior leaders to support the full investment lifecycle through due diligence, closing, and monitoring post-acquisition performance.

  • Coordinate multiple internal groups throughout the closing process for accepted LOIs and PSAs, requiring strong project management and communication skills to keep stakeholders aligned and deals on track.

  • Assist in the valuation of new acquisition opportunities in Canada and the US by supporting due diligence and market research for new investments, including but not limited to evaluating past investments and/or financial performance, purchase terms and economic characteristics of the opportunity.

  • Perform return calculations and analysis, and cash flow forecasting and budgeting to assist with new financing and refinancing initiatives on portfolio assets and support the annual property valuation process.

  • Monitor investments to ensure milestones and underwriting assumptions are achieved and assist in the development of revised investment strategies.

  • Responsible for supporting the annual property valuation process and assisting with internal reporting on portfolio assets.

  • Accountable for keeping current on economic events, researching market reports and industry news that impact the real estate investment environment.

WHAT WILL YOU NEED?

  • A University Degree with a concentration in finance or accounting. Holding or working towards CFA, CAIA, or equivalent professional designation would be an asset.

  • 5+ years preferred; consideration may be given to exceptional candidates with 3–4 years and strong real estate transaction experience.

  • Experience in investment, private equity, or capital advisory environments, ideally within firms where associates are involved across multiple sectors and stages of the deal cycle.

  • Strong background in financial modeling.

  • Ability to manage time effectively to handle competing demands and meet tight deadlines.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools as well as excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven project management and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex transactions and keep diverse stakeholders aligned.

  • Entrepreneurial and ambitious mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for the outcomes of their decisions.

  • Willing to travel within Canada or the US as required.
