Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Dusty. Hot. Cold/refrigerated. Tasks: Build pallets. Load, unload and move products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment. Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload and move materials and products. Ship orders. Pick orders and stock. Weigh materials and goods. Make labels and attach to goods. Provide customer service. Wrap goods. Pack and unpack goods. Sort, crate and stack goods. Install, lash and secure goods. Store cargo and materials. Transport and distribute materials and goods. Organize and maintain inventory. Organize inventories using computerized inventory control systems. Prepare and maintain cleanliness of collection areas. Keep track of shipments. Record the quantity, type and value of stock on hand using computerized or manual inventory system. Receive, unpack and sort incoming parts, supplies and materials. Record incoming stock. Supervision: 3-4 people. Vehicle and equipment experience: Industrial lift trucks and fork-lifts. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks.
