About the role
What is the opportunity?
The Risk Solutions Director will lead the development and implementation of comprehensive risk management strategies and programs to identify, assess, and mitigate organizational, physical, and financial risks. This role will oversee the design and implementation of programs and business processes to minimize risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with business objectives.
What will you do?
- Regulatory Compliance: Identify and mitigate potential compliance risks, ensuring the organization's adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
- Risk Management Program Development: Design and develop risk management programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the organization, and monitor the effectiveness of these programs and make changes as necessary to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
- Preventive Risk Review: Conduct regular proactive risk reviews for operational risk areas, identifying potential risks and implementing measures to mitigate them.
- AI-Enabled Risk Management: Lead thought leadership on leveraging AI as an enabler for better risk solutioning, exploring innovative approaches to risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, and collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement AI-powered risk management tools and models.
- General Ledger (GL) Support: Support GL program and ensure ongoing adherence to regulation
- Operating Model and Audit Workstreams: Support operating model and audit workstreams as needed, providing risk management expertise and ensuring that risk considerations are integrated into these processes.
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- Proven experience in risk management: Demonstrated ability to minimize risk and promote compliance through effective risk management programs.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements: Strong understanding of and adherence to regulatory requirements and internal control standards.
- Operational risk management: Ability to identify and mitigate operational risks through preventive risk reviews.
- Compliance and audit management: Experience in responding to regulators on audit/regulator surveys in a timely manner.
- Adaptability quotient - Experience in adapting to change in mandates, led design of new and transformative ways of doing things
- Operating Model optimization: Ability to improve the ongoing effectiveness of the Operating Model, ensuring it remains efficient and effective.
- Advanced analytical skills: Highly inquisitive with strong analytical skills to analyze complex data and provide insights to inform risk management decisions.
- Innovative thinking: Ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex risk management challenges.
