About the opportunity:
With a focus on providing meaningful value to our current and future customers, Best Way Stone is seeking a skilled Millwright to join the Uxbridge Maintenance department and help drive our evolving operations.
The Millwright will support the production plant by repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining mechanical equipment across multiple production lines. This role helps keep operations running smoothly by ensuring equipment is properly serviced, reliable, and compliant with safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
-
Valid 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) License.
-
3–5 years’ experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance.
-
Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
-
Experience using hand tools, welding equipment, and machining tools (lathe, milling machine, drill press).
-
Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and mechanical drawings.
-
Experience with welding (MIG/TIG/ARC).
-
Familiarity with 5S or continuous improvement practices (an asset).
-
Working knowledge of CMMS and Microsoft Office.
-
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Balance priorities effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Communicate clearly with operators, supervisors, and team members.

Some of the responsibilities for this role include:
-
Perform mechanical repairs, rebuilds, and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
-
Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues and take corrective action.
-
Assist with equipment installations, modifications, and improvements.
-
Maintain accurate maintenance and equipment records.
-
Support general facility maintenance, including minor repairs and fabrication.
-
Operate lifting and hoisting equipment safely.
-
Follow all health, safety, and environmental standards.
-
Perform other related duties as assigned.
This rotating shift position is based in Uxbridge on a Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:00pm schedule, with every fifth shift worked at our Woodbridge facility on a Monday–Thursday, 2:00pm–12:00am schedule. Overtime may be required.
