Role Description The Financial Controller is a full-time, on-site role responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and internal controls for NCS Fluid Handling Systems. This role includes preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, managing the general ledger, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with relevant standards. The Financial Controller will develop and manage budgets and forecasts, perform variance and profitability analysis, and provide financial insights to support strategic and operational decision-making. Daily responsibilities include supervising accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management, as well as maintaining robust internal controls and compliance with tax, regulatory, and audit requirements. This role plays a key part in supporting operational efficiency and profitability within a project-based fluid handling and equipment-focused environment, ensuring accurate financial management across projects, inventory, and day-to-day business activities. The role collaborates closely with operations and leadership teams to evaluate project performance, optimize costs, and support business growth within a safety-focused, service-driven environment. Qualifications Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance, with experience managing full-cycle accounting processes and financial controls. Proficiency in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, ideally within an industrial, construction, or services environment. Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and data-driven decision support. Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems, along with advanced Excel skills. Professional designation (CPA or equivalent) or progress toward designation preferred; relevant post-secondary degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. Experience leading or mentoring finance and accounting staff, with strong organizational and time management abilities. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with operations and leadership teams. Knowledge of Canadian accounting standards, tax regulations, and audit practices; experience in industrial or project-based businesses is an asset.
