Earls Kitchen + Bar is seeking a high-performing, customer-focused, and commercially minded Gift Card & Email Marketing Manager to join our Brand & Marketing team for a 15-month contract in Vancouver, BC.
In this role, you will be accountable for the growth and performance of our multi-million-dollar gift card program while leading the strategy and optimization of our email marketing channel. You will own the P&L, drive data-informed decisions, and collaborate cross-functionally to elevate customer engagement across physical and digital touchpoints. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in both the details and the big picture - and is ready to make a measurable impact.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of the Earls gift card program across in-store, e-commerce, corporate, and third-party channels, ensuring all initiatives are insight-driven and aligned to business objectives.
- Own the revenue growth strategy for the gift card program, identifying and activating opportunities to increase sales, optimizing in-store and digital conversion points, and using sales data to identify and capture untapped market opportunities that drive gift card sales, average lift, and average check value.
- Develop and execute high-impact seasonal promotional strategies that optimize in-store and digital conversion points.
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of the Holiday Gift Card program (September–March), including: forecasting, distribution, operational enablement, campaign collateral, incentive programs, and supporting hands-on fulfillment during peak seasons.
- Maintain a strong performance cadence through monthly reporting (and weekly reporting during peak season), translating data into actionable insights and optimization strategies.
- Steward the gift card P&L by forecasting revenue and costs, managing multiple budgets, reconciling expenses, and delivering strategic updates and performance insights to senior leadership.
- Cultivate and expand third-party and corporate partnerships, identifying new B2B and B2C opportunities that drive incremental revenue.
- Manage supplier relationships and inventory planning across all gift card distribution channels to ensure operational continuity, cost control, and timely fulfillment.
- Evaluate campaign effectiveness and ROI across all gift card initiatives, continuously optimizing investment decisions and growth tactics.
- Oversee the gift card inbox and corporate sales inquiries, ensuring timely, professional communication with guests, operations teams, and external partners.
- Own the Earls e-newsletter program, developing and executing a cohesive strategy that drives engagement, improves open and click-through rates, and supports broader brand objectives.
- Lead audience segmentation, testing strategies, and performance analysis within Mailchimp, using data storytelling to inform recommendations and elevate digital performance.
- Build scalable, on-brand email workflows and processes that enable cross-functional partners to execute efficiently and consistently.
- Contribute to integrated marketing initiatives by collaborating in weekly marketing meetings and providing agile support to team members on seasonal campaigns and high-priority projects on an as-needed basis to ensure seamless execution.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of progressive marketing experience, ideally in retail, hospitality, or consumer-facing brands.
- A degree or Diploma in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience owning revenue-driving initiatives or managing a P&L.
- Advanced proficiency in Google Workspace, particularly Google Sheets for data analysis, reporting, and budget tracking.
- Hands-on experience with Mailchimp (or similar ESP), including segmentation, reporting, and campaign optimization.
- Previous experience in gift card programs, B2B sales, partnership development, or third-party vendor management is considered an asset.
- Highly effective communicator with exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage complex workbacks in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated and resourceful with excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
