About the role
BE Power Equipment is a leading manufacturer of pressure washers, air compressors, generators and water pumps serving industrial markets in over 30 countries. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and systems to ensure smooth operations and minimal downtime. This role requires someone that is proactive and reliable as it is key in maintaining the safety, functionality and cleanliness of the facility.
This is a AM Shift position with the hours being Monday through Friday 6:30am to 3:00pm.
Requirements
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure optimal operation.
- Respond to emergency repair requests promptly to minimize downtime and disruptions to production schedules.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with established schedules and procedures.
- Building and yard repairs and maintenance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, and order parts as necessary.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
- 5-10 years’ experience in maintenance, preferably in manufacturing, warehouse, or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment such as forklifts, compressors, HVAC, and other warehouse machinery.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools, with knowledge of basic welding, carpentry, electrical and plumbing.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, with excellent communication and collaboration skills
