About the role
Invoicing Clerk:
Location: Hybrid – Stoney Creek, ON (L8J 0B4)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: $40,000–$50,000 per year
Start Date: As soon as possible
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Invoicing Clerk to support our Personal and Commercial Lines departments. The ideal candidate will be reliable, efficient, and eager to learn, with strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
• Invoice insurance policies (paper and electronic) for both Personal and Commercial departments
• Provide back-up support for general clerical duties during lunches and holidays
• Answer phone calls and handle inquiries in a professional and courteous manner (back-up for lunches and holidays)
• Assist with basic accounting tasks (training provided)
• Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient office operations
Billing & Accounting Duties:
• Process Agency Bill policies and provide invoices to Brokers the same day
• Process Lloyd’s policies and issue invoices to Brokers the same day
• Handle hard copies of policies, scan into the Broker Management System, and distribute to Brokers
• Make account changes, including reassignment to new brokers and updating account types
• Perform Direct Bill Commission Statement reconciliation monthly
• Reconcile Direct Bill commission statements as required
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience as an invoicing clerk is an asset but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and capacity to work independently
