MRI Technologist Location: Northern British Columbia (Multiple Acute Care Hospitals)
Professional Summary Seeking qualified MRI Technologists to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging in acute care settings, ensuring patient safety, imaging accuracy, and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities Perform MRI examinations as per physician requisitions Ensure patient safety, screening, and positioning Apply MRI safety protocols (zone, contraindications, implants) Operate and maintain MRI equipment Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams Maintain accurate imaging documentation Follow infection control and regulatory standards Qualifications (BC Standards) ✔ Diploma/Degree in Magnetic Resonance Imaging or Medical Radiation Technology ✔ Registered with CAMRT and/or relevant BC regulatory body ✔ Eligible to practice in British Columbia (no restrictions) ✔ MRI certification required (CAMRT MRI credential preferred) ✔ Strong knowledge of MRI safety, anatomy, and imaging protocols ✔ BLS/CPR certification (preferred/required by most facilities) ✔ Ability to work in fast-paced / rural environments ✔ Excellent communication and clinical judgment skills
Position Details Pay: CAD $48–$58/hour (adjustable based on market) Schedule: Full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly Travel: Covered (travel + accommodation + time pay) Shift: As per facility needs
