Key Lake, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the world’s largest high-grade uranium mill. The Role

As a member of the Maintenance Engineering team, you will support the development, maintenance and optimization of industrial control systems that help keep our operation running safely and efficiently. Working alongside experienced control systems professionals, you will gain hands-on experience with process automation, industrial networks and control technologies in a mining and milling environment.

In This Role, You Will

Assist with the maintenance and optimization of process control systems. Support troubleshooting activities related to industrial control and automation equipment. Participate in control system programming, testing and configuration activities. Assist with monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for improvement. Support industrial networking and communication systems. Collaborate with maintenance, operations and engineering teams on various technical projects. Help develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures. Gain exposure to a wide range of automation and process control technologies used in an industrial environment.

Required

you are currently enrolled in a degree program in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, systems engineering, or a related discipline; strong interest in automation, process control systems and industrial technology; valid class 5 driver’s license; work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft; and you must be returning to school for the academic semester following your work term with Cameco.

Recommended

completed coursework related to automation, instrumentation, controls, networking or programming; familiarity with DeltaV, PLCs, HMIs or industrial control systems; experience with programming or scripting languages; and experience with Microsoft Office applications.
