About the role

Position Description

The Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto is seeking a full-time academic medical oncologist to join the Division of Medical Oncology. The successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Provide clinical care in medical oncology, including outpatient and inpatient services.
  • Engage in teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of medical oncology.
  • Participate in academic and administrative activities of the Division and Department.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent.
  • Certification in Medical Oncology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in clinical trials and research in medical oncology.
  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Additional Information

This position is subject to the availability of funding and is expected to commence in 2023.
