About the role

Kelly Services has partnered with a client to recruit for a DIRECT HIRE PERM ROLE

Role: Bilingual Accountant (English and French)

Monday to Friday onsite 8am-4:30 pm Location: Delta, BC Salary: : $55 - $65k + Benefits

Must have experience in Accounts Receivable, Collections and Accounts Payable

Must speak, read and write both English and French

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

Accounts Receivable functions:

  • Primary function will be the collection of outstanding receivables. This includes the reconciliation of payments, processing payments, invoice management and upload, data entry and troubleshooting billing issues
  • Open customer accounts and process credit checks as required
  • Responsible for the clean-up and reconciliation of Account Receivables which include adjustments, credits, transfers and write-offs as applicable
  • Prepare Hold Status Report releasing accounts from credit hold as necessary
  • Oversee Collection Forecast and required follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
  • Participate in month end closing process and financial statements
  • Prepare and process with various tax reconciliations and periodic government remittances
  • Responsible for sorting weekly cheque runs
  • Participate in inventory management, reporting and improvement
  • Coordination of reporting and audits to identify bank fraud

Other functions

  • Resolve service issues relating to customer accounts in a timely manner
  • Completion of Service Billing reporting on a regular basis
  • Responsible for Tender process on an annual basis
  • Complete Sourcing Project, including monthly maintenance of relevant spreadsheets
  • Oversee Fleet List Management
  • Responsible for maintenance and collection of warrantee data
  • Provide accounting, clerical and administrative support including answering phone calls, updating phone list, filing, fleet list management, complete insurance and safety documents, managing and order of supplies
  • Assist with Insurance and Workers Compensation claims, providing necessary documentation and data as requested
  • Assist with purchasing in absence of Coordinators - Additional tasks as assigned by Controller

Skills & Experience

  • Bilingual, English and French
  • Technical school degree with specialization in Accounting or Finance
  • 2 to 4 years of financial accounting experience
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting principles
  • Collection experience an asset
