About the role
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst – ERP Data Migration to support data readiness and migration activities within a major ERP implementation program. This role requires strong technical expertise in data management, migration tools, and ERP systems, with a proven ability to work across business and technical teams to ensure accurate data extraction, transformation, loading, and validation. You will be responsible for coordinating data migration planning, execution, and monitoring to ensure complete and accurate transition of data from legacy systems to the new ERP platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhering to and sponsoring safety and environmental rules and procedures throughout data migration activities.
- Actively support ETL (extraction, transformation, loading) activities from legacy ERP systems to data readiness tools.
- Act as a liaison between business users, data stewards, and technical teams to ensure smooth migration across all business domains.
- Provide hands-on support with the Syniti migration tool, including configuration, data load execution, and validation.
- Collaborate with partners to assess current data readiness levels and ensure all required data is clean, accurate, and complete.
- Work with data stewards to identify, cleanse, and correct discrepancies or data quality issues in legacy systems.
- Perform data profiling to identify quality issues and gaps; collaborate with technical teams to develop and implement required transformation processes.
- Ensure alignment across stakeholders on migration schedules, timelines, and dependencies.
- Track and report progress on data readiness and migration milestones to support ERP implementation timelines.
- Support UAT activities by validating migrated data against business requirements; facilitate UAT sessions and resolve data-related issues raised by end-users.
- Assist in developing training materials, user guides, and documentation for new data processes, ensuring successful adoption of the ERP system.
- Support organizational change management and release management processes tied to data migration.
- Ensure all data migration processes are thoroughly documented, tested, and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
Technical Profile
- 7+ years of experience in ERP-focused data readiness and data migration roles across multiple business domains.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Syniti ADMM or other ETL tools (configuration, execution, validation).
- Practical experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and SharePoint (O365 preferred).
- Applied knowledge of data profiling, mapping, cleansing, and validation processes.
- Background in information systems, computer science, business systems, or a related technical discipline.
Functional Profile
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams, business partners, data stewards, and third-party vendors.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve data-related issues quickly.
- Experienced in handling large datasets with a focus on ensuring data quality and integrity.
