Inventory Control Speacialist | Milton | 20 - 23 hour
About the role
Position Summary
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, managing bin locations, supporting warehouse transaction integrity, and resolving material discrepancies. This role ensures alignment between physical inventory and ERP records while supporting operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain bin locations to support warehouse organization and system accuracy
- Process and monitor warehouse transfers to ensure inventory integrity
- Generate and issue daily cycle counts; investigate and resolve discrepancies
- Conduct spot checks and support physical inventory audits
- Create and maintain part numbers and related ERP master data
- Perform inventory adjustments and document variance explanations
- Analyze scrap and obsolete inventory; coordinate proper disposition
- Investigate material discrepancies, lot issues, and transaction errors
- Review inventory reports to identify trends and risks
- Collaborate with Warehouse, Operations, Finance, and Procurement teams
- Perform additional duties as required to maintain inventory control standards
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 25-50lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in a warehouse setting with varying temperatures and conditions
- May occasionally require working outdoors
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or data management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365; strong Excel skills preferred
- Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics GP,SalesPad, or similar) considered an asset
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
