Stantec is looking for a highly motivated Technology consultant to join their growing, multi-disciplinary team. Responsibilities will include designing various building systems based on industry standards & best practices, providing in‑depth technical support for qualified Stantec opportunities and technical services delivery for Stantec clients. Key indicators of success include high levels of client satisfaction with on‑site service delivery, technical support, and contractor engagement, preparing proposals, providing mentorship to an existing group of technologists and engineers and working closely with clients, contractors and suppliers.

Your Key Responsibilities
- Design Technology systems for the built environment, including pathway drawings, low voltage device and telecommunications outlet plan drawings, systems riser drawings and technical specifications. Technology systems include but are not limited to: Video Surveillance Systems, Electronic Security Systems, Structured Cable Systems, Paging Systems, Wireless Systems, Nurse call systems, Tracking Systems (Real Time Location System), Integrated Audio Visual Systems, Distributed Antenna Systems, Telephony Systems and Data Network Systems.
- Work with clients to understand their needs and project constraints
- Plan the design, develop the designs, and prepare associated documentation
- Coordinate designs with other disciplines
- Prepare tender drawings and specifications
- Deliver and perform Project Management activities such as pre‑engagement & post‑engagement site visits, customer discovery meetings, on‑site assessments, site reports, deliverables review, and other field activities as required.
- Serve as technical resource for Field Engineers and others in assigned work group. Provide technical advice, guidance, and training.
- Conduct design reviews for the team to ensure that work is completed in accordance with Stantec Consulting Ltd. and client and client standards
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Knowledge of and familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and codes
- Knowledge of TIA/BICSI/ASIS standards & best practices.
- Good interpersonal skills required for internal team interfaces
- Excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills required
- Experience using Revit is required
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering along with a minimum four (4) years’ relevant experience related to building technology.
Typical hybrid office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for periods of time with standard ergonomic sit‑stand desks.
Pay Range:
• Locations in Lower Mainland - BC - Min Salary $ 70,200.00 - Max Salary $ 101,900.00
