Intent of the process
This process is intended to fill one (1) indeterminate position located in Toronto. A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established to staff similar or identical positions on an indeterminate or temporary basis at Public Services and Procurement Canada.

Maintain in good standing the AACI accreditation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada or the ÉA accreditation from the Ordre des évaluateurs agréés du Québec.
Maintain a valid driver’s license or personal mobility to the extent normally associated with the possession of a driver’s license

Your application must clearly explain how you meet the following

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable *specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.

Specialization is defined as a minimum of four (4) courses in one of these fields.
❗Note: Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization. The specialization may also be obtained through an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Current Professional Designation in good standing as an accredited appraiser by either the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI) or the Ordre des évaluateurs agréés du Québec (ÉA).
- *Significant experience in commercial, industrial or institutional real property valuation.
- Experience in appraisal or market study review.
- Significant is defined as having performed the breadth and depth of a broad range of related activities, normally acquired over a period of approximately 5 years.
Applied / assessed at a later date

Knowledge of real estate appraisal theory, practices and methodologies in real estate appraisal.

Knowledge of financial calculation techniques used to perform real property valuations.

- Experience in estimating the market value of land including large comprehensive development sites, rural acreage parcels or special purpose sites such as water lots and conservation lands.
