Job Description
The Senior Finance Manager, Corporate is responsible for leading the Company’s external financial reporting function for a publicly listed organization. This role ensures full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), securities regulations, and internal control over financial reporting (ICFR) requirements. They will oversee consolidated financial reporting, technical accounting, MD&A preparation, audit coordination, and continuous enhancement of the control environment.
Key Responsibilities
External Financial Reporting (Public Company)
- Lead the preparation and review of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
- Oversee preparation of MD&A, earnings releases, financial press materials, and investor disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable securities regulations and stock exchange requirements.
- Manage SEDAR+ filings and coordinate with legal and investor relations teams.
- Prepare Audit Committee and Board reporting materials.
- Serve as primary liaison with external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits.
- Lead resolution of complex accounting and disclosure matters.
IFRS Technical Accounting
- Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing effectiveness of ICFR in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Partner with Internal Audit and external auditors on control evaluations.
- Ensure appropriate documentation and audit trail for key judgments and estimates.
- Drive continuous improvement of processes and automation to strengthen the control environment.
Consolidation & Corporate Close
- Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation process.
- Review complex journal entries, consolidation adjustments, and intercompany eliminations.
- Ensure accuracy of financial reporting across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Lead improvements in month‑end close timelines and reporting efficiency.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Support
- Lead and mentor the corporate reporting team.
- Partner with FP&A, Controllership, Tax, Treasury and Legal to ensure accurate reporting of business activities.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- CPA designation (CA/CPA).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in public company reporting and IFRS.
- Strong technical accounting expertise under IFRS.
- Deep knowledge of ICFR frameworks and control environments.
- Previous experience working with external auditors in a public company environment.
- Experience in NetSuite implementations, including the Advanced Revenue Management (ARM) module.
- Experience with Workiva.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strategic thinker with a results-driven mindset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High integrity and strong business ethics.

$140K - $160K, dependent on assessment of skills during the interview process.
