At Siemens Mobility, we are shaping the future of transportation. Our Customer Services business ensures the reliability, availability, and performance of rail systems across their entire lifecycle—supporting our customers with innovative service solutions and digitalization.
We are looking for a Bid Manager to join our Customer Services team in Canada. In this role, you will lead the development of competitive service proposals for rail and mobility projects, contributing directly to the growth and success of our service portfolio.
What will you do?
- Lead the end-to-end bid management process for Customer Services opportunities (e.g., maintenance contracts, lifecycle services, digital services)
- Analyze customer requirements (RFQs/RFPs) and define winning bid strategies aligned with Siemens Mobility’s service portfolio
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Legal to develop high-quality, compliant proposals
- Drive the development of technical and commercial concepts, including service scope, delivery models, and pricing strategies
- Identify and assess risks and opportunities, ensuring appropriate mitigation and value creation measures are incorporated into bids
- Ensure compliance with Siemens Mobility governance, export control, and quality standards throughout the bid lifecycle
- Manage bid schedules, reviews, and approvals to ensure timely submission
- Support customer clarifications, negotiations, and contract finalization, as well as handover to project execution teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement of bid processes, tools, and knowledge management within the Customer Services organization
What will you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
- Several years of experience in bid management, proposal management, or commercial project management, preferably within rail, transportation, or industrial services
- Strong understanding of service business models (maintenance, long-term service agreements, lifecycle management)
- Proven ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary bids in a matrix organization
- Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, costing, and contract fundamentals
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Structured, detail-oriented mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Knowledge of rail systems, signaling, rolling stock, or infrastructure services is a strong asset
Salary is commensurate with experience, and ranges between $ 118,000 CAD - $ 133,000 CAD, excluding bonus and benefits. In addition to base salary, this role includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on Company performance metrics.
